Happy Monday, my friends!
For many of us, this week marks the last surge before the winter holidays. Having finally welcomed a Christmas tree and decorations into my home, I am now very much ready for the break. Seasonal celebrations are all around and I am embracing the spirit whole-heartedly. Yet as the days get colder, it is increasingly difficult to walk the streets with an expression of festive cheer. Instead, strangers acknowledge one another with grimaces into the wind and determined eyes-on-the-pavement stares. So, in the spirit of all that is joyful about this season, I encourage you to defy the weather and greet one another with a smile (or, if in England, a courteous nod). But don't take my word for it.
