Welcome to another week! Following my decision to work through Time's Top 100 Novels, I have been spending all of my spare time with my head in books. And it has paid off! I have just wrapped up #98 and am ready to conquer #97 - the intimidatingly lengthy A Dance To The Music Of Time: Spring by Anthony Powell. My current reading challenge has definitely done the job of redirecting my attention back to the books - something that was long overdue!
This week's Monday Musing is inspired by the greatest part of the literary lifestyle. I'm sure that you are familiar with Abbas Al-Akkad's famous quote on the wonders of reading - "I do not read for I have renounced life, I read because one life is just not enough for me." Reading is like dreaming, and I love this quote from Emily Bronte which (although not actually about reading) I think totally captures one of the greatest contribution that novels make to the mind of a reader.
Have a fantastic week!
